Today Amsterdam open-air posted a few unseen pictures from the festival. They really captured that feeling I had in my stomach all weekend -LOVE & HAPPINESS <3 but today was also the first day I was starting to feel normal again in both bosy and brain/back on track – been a few hectic weeks.
Most of you probably prepare your brains for a long vacation now, not me. SO READY THO, long hours and lots of work – come and take me xx
After six previous sold-out editions, this year I finally got a ticket (!) Amsterdam Open Air is located as usual in recreational park Gaasperpark, it’s about 20 min outside the city. Our friends from Holland helped us with everything and we all became like a big happy family during these days. All djs were absolutely amazing and played awesome music. The atmosphere was on top all weekend 9/10 (no bowl’s) hehe – yey xxx
Amsterdam has more to see than Red Light and Coffee-shops. The city has 165 canals and over 1200 bridges (that is more than Venice). Our first goal wast to find men, wine and lunch in the sun of course. Ended up at Pulitzer Hotel – they have a hidden garden nestled at the center of the hotel. This part’s located away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it is a tranquil hideaway to relax or socialize among seasonal plants and playful sculptures. My favorite was their salted-caramel macaron xx
This is the apartment we’ve rented for the weekend, we are 5 people in total and I mean look at it – wow. A beautiful spacious loft in north Amsterdam and we found it here. Always wanted a bathtub in my living room 😉 See you in 2 days Holland xx
Guess where I’m going this weekend? AMSTERDAM! Been one of my must-visit cities forever AND of course when I heard about Open-Air there was no doubt. Going with Rosie and a few of her friends, they seem amazing and we already have a lot planned or us. More info about the apartment we’re renting and our plans there are comiii’n. SOOOO EXCITED, now I have to write 3 essays and lots of work before I can start organizing my packing x
This you should know this before you visit Amsterdam.
HOW MANY BICYCLES ARE THERE IN AMSTERDAM?
According to the most recent figures, the 850.000 residents of Amsterdam together own 847.000 bicycles. That represents 1.91 bicyles per household.
HOW MANY CANALS ARE THERE IN AMSTERDAM?
Amsterdam has 165 canals — with a combined length of 100 KM (60 Miles)
CAN YOU SWIM IN THE CANALS?
Yes and no. People do swim in the canals — illegally or at ‘official unofficial’ spots. And then there’s Amsterdam City Swim an annual fundraising event — prior to which extra sanitation of the water takes place. After all, canal swimmers have to take into account certain hazards.
WHY IS EVERYONE WEARING ORANGE CLOTHES?
Huh? We don’t. Well, actually, we do — but only on certain occasions. Orange is the color of the Dutch Royal Family, which hails from the House of Orange.
Huckelberry’s Kitchen ville sponsra fredagsmyset hos oss. Fick allt packat i världens sötaste låda och det levererades av en väldigt söt man. Bakelserna ser nästan lite suspekta ut men hoppas bageriet har fått inspiration av Amsterdam eller något så man hittar något spännande i mitten hehe. Trevlig fredag! x
